Social Security OMG!!!?

okay i got a letter in the mail saying i will be around 600 and some on survivors insurance since my dad passed away and i was wondering before my dad passed on i was getting 321 and would i get those two checks still or its all included?

When the Social Security Administration gets all you stuff in order they will explain it all to you.I have a friend who is on SSI she also was told lately she will get some more because of her dad,she still gets the SSI and will get the new benefit also.

You will get one check,the amount they stated for survivors benefits. The other check you were receiving was probably for dependent benefits while your dad was alive. You won't get both.
