Social Security number help.?

When apping for a job do they really check your social security number. I mean i m 17 but i always wonder this, do they check your age even if you lied on the paper.

  2. unless you are applying for a government job im sure they dont pay too much attention to it, honestly im not sure.

    i think they submit your social insurance number, but i dont think they have the rights to actually view your file.

  3. You need more than 1 piece of ID when applying for a job. In general, employers can not proof if your SSN information is correct. However, SSA provides opportunity for employers to verify authenticity of SSN-s.

    Besides, in order for you to get a SSN you would need to submit more at least 2 pieces of ID.

    If you do lie on your SSN, you would have to suffer consequences yourself. The reason a person is limited to work only certain amount of hours at the age of 16 is for his/her own benefit. Should we really go back to the middle ages when children started working at ages of 5 and even 3?
