We are becoming more and more indifferent towards those who cannot afford to have the luxuries to counter the effects of global warming.

It's our social indifference that is creating more problems. Simplest examples: increased usage of air conditioners...try standing behind a car with the AC on or an outlet of your split...you'll probably burn your skin...and then think of the people who do not have or cannot afford an air conditioner and have to bear the combined heat of the sun and the ACs
