Which sociological perspective would be most likely to argue that the existence of big-city political machines suggests that these political organizations satisfy certain basic social needs/serve a purpose. Is it functionalist perspective, conflict perspective, interactionist perspective, or feminist perspective?

  1. I would say funtionalist most likely since the argument is that political organizations serve a purpose to society, therefore political organizations are necessary for society to function. The only other thing it could be is conflict... I guess you could argue that political organizations exist because of social conflict.
