I'm choreographing a SOLO swing dance that I'm performing on July 13th. I need more solo swing moves. Does anyone know any SOLO swing moves. Videos would be appreciated. Thanks!

  1. You can try the.....

    40s Charleston kicks (8 counts), or;

    The Mooch (exists in jive and East Coast Swing), or

    The Shorty George (that exists in the "Jitterbug Stroll" line dance)

    or...

    The Boogie Back (that also exists in the "Jitterbug Stroll" line dance).

    You can also try the Suzy-Q, and these 1920s charleston moves....

    The Sugar

    The "Spank The Daddy"

    The two-footed jumps left and right

    The "Charlie Chaplin" walk

    The kick and "bow layover"

  2. Solo Swing would include a lot of charleston steps and there's a lot of scope there for a fantastic dance. You could also incorporate other swing style and jive steps such as toe, heel, swivel.

    Here's a video of a cool charleston that might give you some ideas:

  3. "solo" swing is usually a solo charleston as "swing" is usually a partnered dance - balboa, lindy hop, shag, etc....

    look up solo charleston and you will see somethings but the beauty of it all is that its *improv*
