  1. just get her to do it alot, and try to make it fun if shes young, and not to hard if she doesnt want it, because then she'll hate it. so just keep it light and fun when shes young

  2. thin and small is a good build for a runner. does she have long legs? because that could b a bonus.

I have 2 really important tips, the meal b4 the dash should be pasta. or something high in carbs, because when you are running you burn stuff off, and the best thing to burn off are carbs. if she doesn't burn carbs, she will burn stuff like muscle tissue...and thats NOT GOOD. also, no meat that day either, she will get cramps.

the other tip is to make sure she warms up, if you warm up before you start running, it helps soo much, you would think that it would make you more tired, but it actually helps a TON! like, for example, when i run track at school, i take 5 minutes in the gym at school and run on the treadmill. even just a quick jog will work, just make sure she warms up, its very important.

now, im not quite sure if those are tips, or rules, but make sure she follows through with them because they will affect her health and how she feels. also, as a runner, she needs to eat well, but alot. she can't be someone who survives on one meal a day, that is really bad for a runner. make sure she gets a good breakfast every day (or at least the days she has track) because it will totally pay off.

o, wait, i have ONE more tip, make sure she finds a breathing rythm to match her running, like i breath in every 2 steps and then breath out every 2 steps, it helps me so much and it will probably help her. good luck 2 her ♥

  3. A couple things come to mind...

Since she's young and just starting, be sure to tell her to have fun and not stress about it.

Tell her to stay positive and to believe in herself. It may sound corny, but it can make a huge difference, especially to someone who's just starting out. She may seem "slowiish" to you, but a mile isn't a sprint (especially for an 11 year old girl) and she may turn out to be really good at it.

You may want to double-check that distance. 1500 meters (if that's what you meant) is a little less than a mile.
