Someone help me with Word 03 ?

I recently spent upwards of two hours on a little last minute, two page summary for school. I saved the file and didnt check to see if all the text was there (stupid, i know) and tried to print it. the printer was acting up so i got up to try again and examine the printer. When i looked up all the text was gone from the stuff id just done and when i checked the saved file, to my horror, it too was blank. Help!

Close word and then reopen it. On the right had side it should show you a list of recent documents that have been worked on. Select the one you are having the issue with and see if it comes up with what you typed.

Also sometimes when you shutdown and restart word it will give you an option of recovering damaged text Here are the steps to do this:

Recover the text from a damaged document  

1)On the File menu, click Open.

2)In the Look in list, click the drive, folder, or Internet location that contains the file that you want to open.

3)In the folder list, locate and open the folder that contains the file.

4)Select the file that you want to recover.

5)Click the arrow next to the Open button, and then click Open and Repair.

If the Word 03 with Windows XP, then check for the .bak files.

In case of Windows Vista, then look for Previous Version.
