I`m from Brazil, and I`m studying here in Melbourne.

I`m studying english, and I`d like to make friends of Australia.

I don't live in Melbourne, but I wish you the best of luck. Perhaps you should travel around the city and meet people. You would probably have a better experience then finding someone on line.

Through your course or your study group you can make initial contacts...put up a notice on a notice board.  Join a student group.

In Johnston Street, Fitzroy there is a Spanish section (Yeah i know you are from Brazil) but the common language is a starting point.

Join a soccer club...not sporty...how about a chess club.

Go on.  get out there.  You can do it.

I agree with the others. You should consider joining a club or organisation of some sort. It's the best way to make friends. All the best!
