Sony Ericsson W580i ringtones?

Question

I want to download ringtones via bluetooth on my new phone.

First,I just used normal mp3 files but then I realized you have to shorten them.

I used ventones to make them shorter (231 kb)

Still it says cannot set as a ringtone on the phone

What do I do?

Really what is your question? What is the first part means?

Ok, you did reduce the size of mp3 file using some software, did you played the file in your w580i? If you can play a file in your w580i i am sure you can set that file as your ringtone.

Because i am also using w580i

Download Media Coder. It's a program that has lots of things to do and one of them is to make the size of the mp3 less. Hope I helped!!! ;-D

you said that you used Ventones to cut it down, thats the site i use as well and it works. Have you followed the instructions on their video tutorial? Check it out here

are you using your phone's browser to download it?

If you're not, then make sure you save it in the right folder.
