but does anyone know how to remove dried blood from things? I had a blister on my heel and the blood went on the inside material of my shoe and cant get it off and they are not shoes I can put in the washing machine. thanks!

Hydrogen Peroxide and cold water.  Don't rub the stain whatsoever, let the hydrogen peroxide bring the stain more the surface and brush with a toothbrush or run under cold water

* Set blood stains (Yellow rust like stains contain iron) -

For set blood stains, a Phosphoric or Oxalic acid containing rust removers (Try RoVer, Whink - Home Depot) can be used to dissolve stains. Rinse with two warm rinses then followed by final cold rinse.

The above method works fine on white or colored fabric.

If your shoes cause blisters that bleed you should think about getting shoes that fit properly, instead of putting style over comfort.

Get pet stain & odor remover. It's a white bottle with red writing. At your local pet store. Gets out blood, urine, f***s, anything that's icky. Don't rub! Blot with color safe cloth or paper towel.

Hydrogen Peroxide will "eat" the blood stain, but might leave a bit of a ring around where the stain use to be.  So, first, apply the peroxide and let it work, and follow up with some soap and water to scrub out the ring.

I would try washing with a toothbrush, cold water and a dab of laundry detergent and start scrubbing with the toothbrush and rinsing as you go until it is out.  If that doesn't work try oxyclean, on the back should be a chart for mixing with water and treating spots use that and rinse thoroughly once done.
