Sound Card or Speakers??? HELP!?

Question

I don't know whats wrong with my sound on my computer but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't

I was just wondering how can i tell if its my speakers or my sound card??

Unfortunately the easiest solution isn't always the cheapest.  Personally if you really feel it's your speakers, try using a headset or a different set of speakers.  If it continues to malfunction, your next best bet is to think it could be the sound card.  If no malfuctions happen, then rest assured it's your speakers that were causing the problems.
