  1. iridflare is correct - there is nothing you can do to correct the bad audio. Sorry to disappoint you - but this is a classic "garbage in, garbage out" scene - to have good audio in your video, it needs to be captured that way and can't be fixed in post production.

Loud audio overdrives the "automatic audio level/gain" circuit and the result is clipping and very muddy sound. Most low-end camcorders do not have any ability to deal with this extraordinary loud audio.

The cheapest cameras that do are the Sony DCR-HC28 and HC96 with a "Normal" and "Low" mic gain setting in their menu that you have to set before recording - "Low" is used for loud audio.

  2. um.go to itunes and get the equalizer .....that might help a little

  3. were you recording the whole thing without stopping?

it's likely that the audio engineer would have recorded the concert and will have a copy of the audio file.

maybe you could ask and see if you can get it.

the major advantage of course is a far superior sound quality.

drop the file into your editor, sync it and and you're in business!

  4. Chances are you can't do anything - have a look at Acoustica though.  It's a cheap but good audio editor.
