Radio stations are usually identified by their frequency. One radio station in the middle of the FM band has a frequency of 101 MHz. What is its wavelength?

  1. Wavelength of an electromagnetic wave: (speed of light)/(frequency in hertz).

    Or something like that. It's been like 5 years since 9th grade, and I haven't really thought about it at all since.

    If my formula is correct, then it's (299,792,458 metres per second)/(101,000,000 hertz) = 2.968 m

    Oh, a radio wave isn't a soundwave. If you wanted to know a soundwave's wavelength, though, just use the speed of sound instead of the speed of light, divided by the frequency.
