Question:

South of France?

I am going to Paris and then to Florence next year. I want to stop somewhere in the south of france along the way, but i'm not quite sure where to stop. I have about 4 days for this.

I am thinking Nice, as I want to go somewhere along the coast where it is sunny, but I am open to go somewhere more quaint (and perhaps less expensive).

Any suggestions?

  1. the French Riviera is great.

Great nightlife as well as good food, and fantasic beaches.

Go to Cannes, St.-Tropez, even Monaco

  2. They mentioned about the Riviere Sud Du France (Southern French Riviera). I'll add in Arles (learn about Van Gogh's Drawings there) and Grasse (Do you love Aromatherapy?).

  3. yes its beautiful - Beautiful, Geneva.

  4. Wow, I made the same trip a few years ago, Paris then Nice then Florence. Well Nice is nice, but I really didn't like it.  You have the beach and it is sunny there but I don't know why, I just didn't like it. I felt the city was too congested or too lonely especially the area of the hotel where I was staying. You should take the tour bus to get a better view of the city which you do get to see some beautiful views of the coast. But I just didn't find anything to do or see but the beach.
