Spain? Which city is the best?

I want to spend a semester abroad in Spain and I was wondering which one of these cities would be the best to spend it in: Granada, Malaga, Salamanca, Santander, or Sevilla??

Depends on what you're looking for. A lot of students go to Sevilla. You can do some skiing in Granada. Santander is on the north coast... and has cooler climate in the summer.

My personal opinion, if you're going to learn Spanish... stay away from the touristy and student towns like Sevilla (where everyone speaks English) and go to the less popular destinations like Santander. You may also want to consider Valencia. I used to live there and it's a beautiful city. Great place to live and study Spanish language.
