I sometimes babysit my neighbors kids.When I went over there last night,I heard the parents saying if they acted up they would get in big trouble.Then I heard one of the kids say something and I heard a large wood smack and the kid yelled OW!I rushed in but teverything was put away and his tears were dried up by the time I got inside.I asked the kids if there being abused and they said yes.I told my parents but they don't belive me. What can I do.I thought about calling the police but I think I need proof and I don't want the kids to go into to foster care where they might be abused even more

what u shuld do is one day take pictures of the kids with the bruises visible then show them to your parents dont just take pictures of the bruises im  like what if ur parents think they r something else now if this is really abuse do what im tellin you too like what r they getting hit with

call CYS and they will talk to the children...and if CYS see fit they will take the kids away...

you can do it anonymously so the parents don't know it was you that called.

because of the young age of the children you cant guarantee that what they are saying is the complete truth, but you should check the children for excessive amounts of bruises etc. ( just a few can be expected on young children, i always had at least a few bruises on me from playing) if they do, talk to your parents again and ask them what to do. what ever you do don't personally confront the parents, if they are abusive you could be in danger. that is my opinion but i dont know the people.

Call DFS Division of Family Services. Yes call the police if you would like but if they are being abused get them help even if your own family doesn't believe you. HELP THEM call the police and report it.  They are required to investigate it without using your name....

There is a difference between abuse and discipline.  Some parents discipline their kids with belts, paddles, willow switches, you name it, and it is not illegal.

However, if you are TRULY concerned and you are positive they are not just saying they are abused because they were being disciplined and are angry because of it, then call your local Child Support Services place or a domestic violence hotline for help.

Spanking a child with a paddle is NOT  abuse. You cannot simply go on the word of a child. There has to be bruises or emotional problems.  If they were being abused, OW wouldn't be heard when they were hit, they would be screaming!

I would call CPS if you think they are using excessive force. It can really leave lasting damage on a child.

My cousin who is 9 now used to go around hitting people's butts and smacking people around at FOUR. He learned that behavior from his parents most likely using physical discipline on him. Granted it works on some children, but some people are too ******* stupid to notice that it might not be.

Yes, spanking a child with a paddle is emotional abuse and physical abuse. Just because someone is a child gives no one any right to physically harm them. I was BEATEN by my father and I never made a sound. Why? Because he'd hit me harder. So the person below  doesn't know what the **** they are talking about.
