Spatial ability. please help!!?

im a 13 year old trying out for the CTY john hopkin spatial ability test. i took all the subtests and got all the answers right except for the perspective test.

http://cty.jhu.edu/ts/pesamp.html

that's the link for the directions on how to take the test.

i alreayd read the directions to taking that perspective test but i still don't get it. there's a front view and a right view of objects but i don't understand why, when you look at it from the right view, some balls are closer adn then some other balls are farther apart.

when i look at it, they all look the same as they do when i look at it from the front view.

can u please help? thanks so much.

  1. Not trying to sound mean, but it's a bit obvious that it's too special for you. The reason why in the right view some are closer, is because, if you look at it from the right side, the ball on the farthest right from the front view, will be the closest. Just think about it in a 3d manner. If you were to put three balls in a triangle, then look at them from a different angle, they will look different. As to why some balls will disappear, they go behind another ball. That's the biggest thing to realize right there, after that it's pretty simple.

  2. the perceptibility test is testing what you take from what you see. basically look at 2 points only. then find them on the other view. that will tell you which side it is on.
