Specialized Myka Sport or Cannondale F7?

Question

I am completely torn over which one to get. Does anyone have any experience (with both, preferably)? The only reviews I am finding online are totally biased and vague.

Even opinions on the two brands would be great. I know Specialized is a fantastic brand; my boyfriend loves his Hardrock. However I know very little of Cannondale's line of mountain bikes.

I live in Central Oregon and plan to do quite a bit of mountain biking (right now I have a cheap Wal-Mart bike and am, obviously, often lagging behind my boyfriend when we take to the trails.) So basically I'm looking for something durable (the Specialized), lightweight (the Cannondale), handling, suspension, etc.

I know that overall, the consensus is that the Myka Sport has better components than the F7, but is that the deal breaker right there? Is there something that, although given this fact, makes the F7 a more enjoyable bike?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a F7.  It is a very nice bike for the price, I don't know about the Myka.  Have you tried them both?  Go for size, to see which one fits you better.  I don't know which would be more durable, both look strong enough.

i would go with a cannondale f5 but since that a mens bike you should look for any womens bike with a complete shimano/sram drivetrain
