  1. Even on a moped you are not immune to the law.  If you were exceeding the speed limit you will be processed by appropriate law.

You will receive a notice via the post, and then you can either pay the fine, or if you really think you were not breaking the law (unlikely to succeed!) you can appeal and go to court.

You would most likely pick-up a couple of penalty points at 10 mph over the limit.

Even pedal cyclists have been prosecuted for speeding!!

  2. And his holyness Pope Ian UK of sensibleville has spoken. Ignore him.

  3. lol thats pretty ******* funny

  4. Your doomed forever.

  5. we live in uk..my husband did 40 in a 30 but in a car,He got 3 points and £60 fine.I no u got moped but the speed the same. The points stay on yr license for 5 years and u have to tell yr insurance.hope this helps a little x

  6. I take it the camera flashed, and that there was a film in the camera?  If so, you'll get a Nipper (notice of intended prosecution) in the post within two weeks.  That will ask if you were riding the moped, and if not, who was. You send that back, and they'll send you another letter asking whether you want to go to court or accept a fixed penalty.  If you choose the fixer, you'll have to send your driving licence off, along with a cheque for £60.  You'll get it back a few days later, with 3 points added.  Get another one within 2 years, and you could lose your licence before you've even taken your test!

  7. You will probably get a notice of intended prosecution (NIP) in the mail which you will have to receive within 14 days of the offence.  If you don't get one of these, breath a sigh of relief and slow down next time!

After you have replied to the NIP, you will probably get 3 points on your licence and a £60 fine unless you contest it and go to Court in which case the penalty could be higher if you are found guilty.

If you know you have done it, take it on the chin and learn from it.

  8. not sure, but hey, you'll get a ticket in the mail.

  9. Prepare for the flogging of your life!

  10. Yes fine will come in the mail and points will go on your license.
