Speedo at pool?

Question

I am going to the pool tomorrow and I am doubting if I should wear my speedo. It is not a brief speedo; however, it is the square-cut kind. I have honestly never seen anyone wear a speedo at the pool I go to except in the indoor one while swimming laps. I am just wondering what some of your opinions are on it? I am a pretty skinny, but tone seventeen year old so it's not like I am some fat nasty person =).

There is nothing  wrong wearing speeos to the pool. I wear them all the time, square cuts would be perfect, a bit more modest than briefs. Board shorts suck when they are wet.

To answer your question, I would need to know what you plan to do when you're in the pool.  Sometimes, fashion is more important than function, sometimes, it's the other way around.  The suit you've described sounds like it's designed for fitness swimming or practice.  If that sounds like what you're using it for, expect everyone else to be wearing something similar.  If, on the other hand, you are just going to monkey around in the pool during open swim, board shorts or something else loose and clumsy would be fine.  In all likelihood, regardless of what you're going to do, noone is going to give 2 beans about what you've chosen to wear.

if you're going to the pool to swim what do you care what others are thinking? if it's more comfortable for you, wear your speedo, go swimming and have fun

Wear it. I wear mine sometimes as underwear but thats cuz i love them. Just be aware of something growin. lol youll be fine!

If that is what you want to wear, then do so. You are going to a swimming pool in a swimming suit - shouldn't be a problem.

If it is a square leg or jammer, no problems. Some of the other answers must want to wear full body suits next time they go to a pool. If they are so close minded, then who cares about them.

Speedo briefs should not be an issue to wear to any swimming pool, lake, beach or waterpark anywhere in the World. Some people in the USA are just too much prudish.
