Spirit leader tryouts?

Question

I'm a senior in high school and I'm pretty noticed by most of the band people but every year the band elects 2-3 people to be their spirit leaders . They are the people who start cheers in the stands and keep the crowd going. Me and a friend of mine want to join in together but before the leaders are elected each person or persons have to make a 20-40 second speech about why they should be elected. Most people don't actually make speeches but actually do something bizarre that will get the bands attention. So I ask you now.. what can me and my friend do to get us elected as spirit leaders?

PS. This is for football season and we only have 1 day to do this so please, awnsers needed fast!
