Can you split a cable signal to two tvs and have two differant channels on or no, And if so how?

  1. yes all you need is a splitter and the coaxial cable you run line out wall to splitter the the 2 ne coaxial lines go to each tv or converter box it dosent matter if its the same line out the wall you can watch diffrent channels on diffrent tvs the only time the same tv has to watch the same channel as another is when its satelite tv and one converter box is split to 2 tvs with cable its diffrent


  2. If your cable setup doesn't require a set-top box then sure, a simple splitter will work fine.

    If your cable service requires a set top box, then you'll need a second box for the other TV. The splitter would be placed at the house input and the cables would be connected to each box.

  3. Yes. Pretty much any cheap RF coaxial cable splitter will work, and it will work for digital cable, too. Just go to Radio Shack or Wal Mart and pick one up, they're only a couple of bucks and will be the solution to your problems. :)
