Spore on mac work or not?

ok so i pre ordered the mac version of spore right so 1 day (yesterday) i went to download the spore creature creator demo on mac but when it finished downloading i tried to play it and it said that its not compatible with my system now i have a mac mini so its pretty old but those this mean that the spore game wont work ether? ty for the help ps: i dont want eny haters answering ty again

You may have downloaded the PC version of the demo accidentally, try downloading the mac version and if that doesn't work, it IS incompatible.

I got the same problem.  "you can not open the application because it is not supported on this architecture".  I'm running version 10.4 on a pre-intel (G5) mac.

Edit: The creature creator won't work unless you have 10.5 so yeah I would expect for the full version you will need 10.5.
