Sporty cars?

ok so im car shopping for a first car, i want something sporty and some thing that i can mod up and it will look flashy, i dont want a sunfire/cavalier, civic or VW, suggestions?

Price range? If you want to be a ricer a good starter car would be an Integra. Those get stolen a lot though. If you want a FWD track car a good, and underrated, one is the Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. You can get them in the 13s for $600, 12s for $1500, and 11s for $4K.

You'd probably have to put $2000 into a Civic to get it as fast as a stock GTP.

Perfect car for you: Mine!!.

Mitsubishi Eclipse. Any year, perfect for modding, good on gas, cheap, VERY flashy, VERY sporty.

I love my 98 GST...its beautiful and fast as h**l. Everyone seems to envy me for it.

1st choice: 240sx with S15 front-end.

2nd choice: 300zx

Sorry, I know you said no Volkswagen but just look at this machine. Volkswagen Corrado. It's a good choice because it's becoming a classic and it's in your price range. Yay! ebay it. =)

OK, I know u said no VW, but have u ever seen a VW Scirocco? They don't make them anymore but I was racing one one time and I was driving a '78 Trans AM. I was doing 120 when it caught up to me. You may have to restore one, but I think u'd like it.
