Spyder hides in cactus

would someone please tell me if this is an urban legend someone brought a catus home from texas and one day the catus started to shake so she called the fire department when they took the cactus outside spider babys started to come out of it. i seen it was an urban legend on tv would u tell my daughter if this is a legand or truth

  1. Well, plants are home to many kinds of animal life, including spiders. I can definitely believe that someone could buy a cactus, take it home then realize that a spider was living in it. But the part with the cactus shaking and the fire department and the hundreds of baby spiders....That was all added for dramatic flair, makes for a more interesting story that people will keep telling others. It is not something that should keep you up at night, though.  ;-)

  2. spiders can hide in cactuses because they think that if they hide in a cactus, no bird will get them.  so it is probably true.
