Stanford ; Creative Writing?

Alright, I'm 14 years old and I've been wanting to be a novelist for years now. I want to know if Stanford University has a good CW department. If not, can you guys recommend some universities with great creative writing departments, preferably in California? Can you guys also tell me a bit about getting my books published and any other advice you might have? I already know this is going to be difficult, but I love writing and this is what I want to do. Thanks for all the help.

Berkely and UC davis has very good departments in CW in California.  The thing about getting books published is letting them be read.  Though no one is going to read anything unless you write it with very good grammar and sentence structure.  They do not want to read your story for the first time and have to proofread it.   Good Luck
