  1. Those information safety cards in each seat back are required by the Code of Federal Regulations under Part 121.  Stealing is a crime in its self; sealing information safety cards that could save some life is just plain wrong.

If you want a safety card just ask the cabin attendant and they will provide you with one.

  2. Honestly, it's not a huge penalty.  The worst part about stealing one is that the aircraft is grounded if they don't have any extras.  So, how would you feel if you had to sit for several hours on the ground waiting for another plane to bring you some?  They don't cost that much, but they are required.  I agree that they will probably give you one if you ask.  Don't steal anything.  Yes, you should feel bad if you steal anything, how could you ask such a question?

  3. I like both above answers. In this day and age of increased security, why risk a lengthy detention not to mention a hefty fine for a piece of plastic coated paper?

  4. WELL........ Those safety cards could save someone's life. I don't know why you'd WANT to steal it. Just ask a flight attendant if there are any extras. I'm sure they've got extras, because I'm sure that you're not the only one who wants a safety card. Quite a few people probably do steal them. I'm sure he penalty is just a chastisement... They'd just probably ask you to put it back and give you one of your own..... As to whether you should feel bad, that's up to you and your conscience.

  5. Just ask the flight attendant if there are any extra safety cards and if you could have one.  That would be the easiest thing to do.
