Stereo system help...?

I have a laptop computer and i want to play the music from it into multiple speakers around my room. what do i need to connect the two? (i think its a receiver, but im not sure). what would you reccomend? thanks!

You wold need a receiver and some speakers or some amplified speakers. Computer speakers are amplified and don't cost too much. A receiver and speakers could start getting expensive. If you're on a budget I would go with a home theater in a box (HTIB). Onkyo has some nice ones and they start fairly cheap.

Line out into a stereo receiver... I'd use the AUX in... if it has the option.  However, any will work.
