Still have stitches after 3 weeks?

i had a 2nd degree tear while delivering my 2nd baby 3 weeks ago.I still have stitches shouldnt they have desolved by now..

Ive called my ob but havent heard back from him.

They desolved as you heal. It can take awhile for them too 6-8 weeks. Dont worry they will go away when it is time!

With my first child my stiches had not fully disolved by my 6wk checkup, sometimes they take longer.

And I hear ya on military dr's....they're about as useful as a coldsore.

They usually last for over 6 weeks

The dissolving stitches can take up to 8 weeks to dissolve.  It depends on the person.
