Stimulus Payment question...confused on dates?

Question

IRS website says check will be mailed by 6/27, but letter says I should receive payment by 6/27, so which one is it?

Anyone who has received both a letter and their check already, did you receive it by the date on your letter or did they mail it on that day?

The date is the date it will be mailed by, not received.

from what I've heard they messed up on the wording because they're only mailing checks on Fridays.  so you wouldn't get it on that day anyway, it would be any day after.

you said you got yours today? What are the last 2 of your social? mine is 60 and i am hoping for simmilar luck. how much was your check if you don't mind me asking?

well i recieved the letter on the 14th of this month and it said i would receive my check by june 20th but thats the day they mail it out and the mail lady just broght my check 2day so urs is set 2 be mailed friday and u probably will recieve it on the 30th or the 1st

56 and i got 300 for me and 300 for my daughter also checks arnt just being mailed on fridays my uncles was mailed on a thursday and he recieved it 2 days later on a saturday
