If i was away at college during tax time and filed my taxes for the time I worked during breaks. My return check was mailed to my tax preparer's address in AL for me since I am originally from CT where will my stimulus be sent? To my tax preparer's address or my home address in CT which is also on my W2 when I filed so the IRS has my CT address on file right? Someone help please...

  1. Whereever your return check was sent.

  2. The rebate check will be mailed to the address you provided on your return.  Most of the time that folks get a check at the preparer's office it is really going through a third party.  The IRS could send your check there if that were the address you used for the return but I don't think that is what happened.

  3. your rebate check will go to the address listed on your tax return, not to the office in AL .

i know this for sure,b/c your preparer has nothing to do with your rebate check at all,so if you're in CT right now you're fine.

  4. Your check will be mailed to the address that is on your tax return.  It sounds like that is your preparer's address.
