I hear a gurgling sound when my engine is running and when I turn it off a few seconds later it sounds like some fluid is being flushed somewhere. This is kind of freaking me out.

  1. Add coolant.Fill the overflow bottle to the line in respect to the engine temp.

  2.   I think the gurguling sound you hear is air trapped in the cooling system. It is makeing that noise from the heater core (which is located under the dash board inside the car's cabin)

A lot of cars today have aluminum engines,,,like yours,,,,and because the way that the cooling water flows thru the engine and the heater core,, they have to be bled to get all the air out.

Somewhere on the engine there is a bleeder valve to get the air out. I dont know where it is on your engine. But air in the cooling system does interfere with the cooling system's ability to keep the heat down. So get a hold of someone who knows how to do it asap.

    Hope this helps.
