Stroke-by-stroke kanji writing?

Hello, I am Japanese language teacher and am having some difficulty regarding my class handouts. My students struggle a lot to write new kanjis because of its stroke count. So I want to do sth like this (click on the link below to see the image). How can I do this? Please help.

If you want to create those kanji writing handouts with the stroke order yourself, you'll need an image manipulation program like Photoshop or "The Gimp".

But I think I have a better solution for you: There is a project called the "CJK stroke order project" hidden in depths of the Wikimedia commons. You can find over 1000 kanji stroke order diagrams there and there are around 250 animated stroke order diagrams as well.

On a sidenote, if you want to help them understanding how the kanji were created in order to deepen their understanding of the different kanji, you can use the kanji evolution charts created by the same team. You can find the different scripts (oracle, bronze, big seal and small seal) behind the last link in the sources.
