how can i throw stronger punches ?

  1. Got it backwards. Key to stronger punches not so much upper body strength but lower. Power comes from your legs and how you distripute that power to your fist but gaining leverage and twisting your hips.

    If look at most punchers, don't got gigantic Schwartzeneger arms, but long, lean arms that give them maximum velocity. Like Tommy Hearn, Kelly Pavlik, Lennox Lewis, ect.

    Tyson's power did not come from his arms, but his tree trunk size legs and solid foundation.

  3. make sure your feet are planted in a staggered line. don't punch facing the bag/person squarely. a lot of the force should come from you pushing off the ground, as well as your torso turning into the punch. you should aim for about 2-4 inches behind the bag/person.

  5. strength for punching comes from your core muscles and proper technique in executing the punch.

  6. I don't know if you know who Jens Pulver is, but he has a fight coming up and theres a little short clip of him doing pull ups with tennis balls in both hands. Its suppose to strengthen your grip
