I think they should. Most teens need to get off their lazy a$$es & do something. A lot of them need to learn to be respectful too. Kids now are jerks. Not all but a lot. When I was in HS we did our hours & didn't bit-h about it cuz it wasn't that serious. Teens now are pathetic. Again not all but some. A lot of them actually.

If this is your topic, you'll have to think of five reasons why students should NOT do community services and back each one up with at least 3 sentences.  Although I believe students should do community services, that's not the point of your essay.  Your opinion might be included, but it's not relevant to your theme.  Perhaps one reason you might want to include in your essay is: Students might not be responsibly supervised during community services.  This would create issues of safety you might want to elaborate on with some details.

They should, it looks good on your college applicaion and it is a way to give back to your community. You can't graduate without Community Service Hours. I know you've heard this many times but helping other people in need makes you feel really good inside and you can truly appreciate how lucky you are to have the many things you have.
