Hey, im planning on studying abroad next year but I'm not quite sure on the country i want to go to. I was first heading towards Berlin or Hamburg in Germany because i heard it had a great nightlife, but now i started to think about the Netherlands or Italy. If you have any suggestions on countries that would be good for studying abroad please let me no. Any country that has a great nightlife and overall fun and free-spirited people along with a great college or university of course. Thanks so much!

  1. Note about Lisa's recommended university, AIU: It is not an accredited university.

Berlin has great nightlife, but it is very cold in the winter. IF parties is the main or only consideration, try Barcelona; or somewhere in the Caribbean.

  2. One of the cool website on study abroad programs that I just came across, hopefully may help you :

  3. Vienna Austria isn't too big, but still has a great nightlife

  4. I studied abroad twice in London when I was in undergraduate school. It is a really fun city and it definitely has nightlife. Living ammenities are better in England than they are in Italy (England and Germany are probably more similar) and if you have never really been anywhere then the culture shock isn't as bad in England as it would be other places (Sprechen Sie Deutsch?) but you should go where you want. I really loved London. I have been back 5 times. There are always great air-fare deals to London and I have friends that I go back and visit. The only drawback is that England is very expensive, especially since our dollar is so weak. Good luck. It was the best thing I ever did. I am in grad school now and I thought I would step it up a notch, so I am studying abroad in China with some of my fellow law students this summer. I can't wait!

If you need any help finding a good school in London, AIU is a really good school that mostly caters to Americans studying abroad (although there are people from all over there.) They also make sure your credits will transfer back to your home institution.

Here is a live web cam of the park in the middle of Leicester Square in London. The park is surrounded by bars, theaters, restaraunts and various night clubs. You should see this place on the weekends! It's nuts.

  5. no idea

  6. in my point of view Ur second option is good

  7. If your main premise for studying abroad is to have fun and a good time ....."a great nightlife"  stay home and save your money  .   I studied al la Universidad de Madrid, en Espana...  and worked!    I did manage to do some touring while I was there but my first "job"  was going to my classes and learning as much as possible.

Do you speak German?   If not, and you really want an education,  you would want to consider England or other countries where English is the national language.
