So, last year i got my first grade below a B. && My mom was very disappointed. Anyhow, I'm usually an A student, but lately my study habits have been really bad and I'm more focused on friends/bf etc. So, this year I'm entering 7th. grade and it determines what high school you go to && i really want to get into this really great high school. Anyhow. what are some good study habits, && ways help me balance out my social life with my school life?

  1. Do all your homework friday, so you have the weekend to just have fun with your friends.  Yeah!

Though if you become really attatched to your work, I'd suggest doing it in the library, It's quiet, and there is tones of books there.

  2. Set aside a certain amount of time to study every day, no matter what. Study first, then play. Have a LIGHT snack before you start to help you stay focused. Study in a quiet area with no T.V. or radio on. Sitting at a desk or table with good lighting is best.

  3. well for the studying it's because your a teenager teenagers are like that but for the studying you need to turn everything off accept a light and if the phone calls let it ring if your friends ask to hang make sure it's during the weekends and study during the week     so yea study weeks ad weekends friends and if your done b4 bed hang out for a while

  4. I think you should do your homework every night. Never go a day without doing homework because then you'll start putting it off more and more so you should just be consistent with it rather than letting your grades slip. So homework should always come first.

However, if you feel like you're spending too much time on your homework, like 3 hours would be pushing it, I would take a break and talk to friends online or on the phone or just have time to yourself.

But it's really important that you don't get too caught up in your social life because a lot of drama and problems that you experience during school is such a waste of time and it's better if you keep your eyes on the future and just not get involved with boys and stuff until you're older.

And it's important that you don't have any distractions while doing homework. Oh and if you get homework on the weekends, do your homework on sundays so you have fridays and saturdays to be with friends. But if it's a lot, do nottttt put it off because that would not be fun.

Never procrastinate either. I know first hand of how bad it is to procrastinate and it's really not fun doing projects the night before the due date. I've learned that if I always start projects right away, I'm under less stress towards the due date because I have some of it done. But it depends what type of person you are because some people work better when they're under pressure.

Don't get too caught up in your school work because it's important to balance it into your life rather than devote all of your time to it.

  5. Just set aside some time and be really strict with yourself.  Find a time of day that suits you.  Maybe it's best to do it when you first get in from school while it's all fresh in your mind.  Maybe it's best after dinner when you've had time to chill out.  Maybe it's best later when you're relaxed but not too tired and sleepy.  You choose, but do it at the same time.  Also if you do all your studying in the week you get weekends off to have fun and time for yourself.

  6. For your study habits, study each subjects about one hour each day except fridays and the weekends (I know, but it works if you want to get good grades).  Always finish your homework on Fridays so you can have fun on the weekend and spend some time with your friends.  No tv, msn or ATM and music.  Just focus on your studies.  Hope it helps you.
