Studying abroad and reduced costs? ?

Question

Is it possible to study abroad in a european country without accepting the housing that the study abroad program offers?

Reason is is that i have some close relatives that live there, and it would be cheap for me.

It probably depends on the study abroad program. But I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. Normally when you study abroad it's up to you to secure your own housing. The school you're going to will usually have housing for you if you want it, but you don't have to take it.
