Studying abroad for a YEAR!?

Should i bring my hair dryer/curler with me and get converters or buy them there?

What kind of walking shoes are best, but still keeping up with the styles?

any other not-obvious suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Its better to get a travel dryer thats dual voltage and same with the curler.

These devices may use a high wattage and thus requiring a converter the size of a cinderblock.
