I have a 2 channel rockfrod fostgate

Power Series T400-2

4 ohms: 120 watts x 4 chan.

2 ohms: 240 watts x 2 chan.

Bridged, 4 ohms: 400 watts x 1 chan

Running a MB Quart

PWH304 12" Dual voicecoil 4 ohm sub

I have been told that i cannot run the amp bridged with this sub, so i have tried running the amp in 2 channel mode connecting each channel to the 2 voice coils of the sub.

When running the sub has no bass drive but appears to be running in trebble. Drawing alot of power (dimming interior lights on each note) from the car with no true bass responce from the speaker.

Any input much appreciated

  1. switch the amp to LPF..if the lights are dimming you have a power or earth supply problem.you will need a desent size wire stright from battery with fuze. other than that i have never wired up a sub with to voice coil connetions

  2. Here are a couple options: http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer...

  3. make sure your amp setting are for bass and not trebble, make sure all of them are, if u have one that isnt, is will sound like how u described it
