Is there a suburb of London where you can get a nice sized house with a big yard. Not looking to move, just wondering.

  1. Plenty of houses fit that description in the London Borough of Hounslow - even some along the river Thames at Chiswick.

Thing is though in the UK a 'yard' would usually be quite small and concreted/paved over. - - in the UK we have gardens and some of the ones in Chiswick do have large gardens - actually if you are in to gardening then in the london Borough of Richmond you could get a house which fits your description overlooking the famous Kew Gardens.

you would need to save around $2million for a start.

  2. plenty of places ... try The Bishops Avenue

  3. Bromley

    Orpington

They are Boroughs of London but technically in Kent (just South of London) ...(we dont usually use the word suburb here, borough is the same sorta thing though)

The houses there tend to be 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen & a living room

the gardens are big too. seeing as its in kent there is more wildlife and grass than in south east London so the gardens are reasonably sized. id say about the size of two normal sized swimming pools.
