Suburban brake question....

Quick question.... should wheels be hot to the touch after driving. They aren't too hot to touch, but really really warm......kinda hot. We just had our master cylinder replaced and the brakes are kinda noisy..... it is going back to the shop tomorrow. I am just curious now.

Yes, but the noisy brakes aren't normal. Did they use the correct formulation of brake linings? They should have used a high-quality ceramic pad. A lower quality pad (which tends to make a lot of noise) will also generate more heat too. This can cause premature brake pad failure and damage to the brake rotors.

yes of course ur wheels will be hot or warm after driving. you probably need new brake pads if they make a sqeeling noise.

yea they get pretty hot. they have to hold your car back and in this hot weather they get hotter.
