I had a bandpass subwoofer ( MTX blue thunder legend series) in my 1992 Honda Civic LX. My brother is moving it to his car and so I need to replace it. Obviously the new subs will be in the trunk. The bandpass hit great with hip hop songs. What do you recommend now? 2 12's? 2 10's? 1 15'? Vented or ported? I just want it to sound well and I listen to all kinds of music. Tell me what you think from your experience. Thanks.

  1. I don't know what are you doing guys! i can make my car shake with one 12" speaker and 150W amplyfier :D

are you listening a music or making the biggest rumble?

  2. 2 12s will work if you like your hip hop bass . 2 15s if you like others outside to hear and feel your bass. anything smaller I ve never went for. I have 2 12 inch infinitys and that make the earth move. but something to remember is the smaller the woofer the better the response time. hope this helps. I go with the 12s!

  3. i've got the same car and in my trunk i've got 4 10's and 1 12 all JL audio, the 10s because they are much cleaner and clearer sound of bass, and the 12 for extra loundess, but still high quality, I have the 10s enclosed sealed, and the 12 ported, and sounds great. I guess depends how much you have to spend. and how much room you want left for your trunk?
