I have a 05 avalanche and I just bought a pair of ma audio 10's its in a down fire dual box that sits under the back seat. I have a temporary amp its a sony xplod 800 watt with a 8ga wiring kit. The amp is briged and the speakers are wired up 4 ohm. And I have a pioneer 7.5" monitor/ headunit. Now i have tryed changing the speaker wires around adjusted the amp and headunit tryed new rca signal wires and it still sounds bad! It hits and the amp is putting out but somethings not right. I tryed a crossover but had the same result. The box isn't as solid as i thought it would be when i ordered it but I dunno. any suggestions????

  1. Make sure the subs are in phase.  If you apply a 9 volt battery to your speaker wires, both subs should move in or out together.  If one is moving one way and one is trying to move the other way, you need to rewire them so they both move together.
