Subwoofer wiring?

If you have your subs wired at 4 ohms then does this mean that when looking at an amp to buy you look at the rms at 4 ohms also or do you look at the 2 ohms rms power?

yes you have to get a 4 ohm amp  if you get a 2 ohm amp the amp will produce less power    for a 2 ohm amp u need 2 - 4 single 4 ohm subs or 2 - dual  2 ohm sub   a 4 ohm  amp u need 2- 8 ohm subs   2  dual 4 ohm sub
