Hey surfer girls- im going surfing in hawaii. ive got my boards shorts, but do i wear a one piece under it or a bikini top with the shorts?

I wear a bikini top and bottom, although to be more comfortable wear a one piece

however you are most comfy, and make sure your bikini top is tied well.

Bikini will of course give you the better tan

I just wear a bikini.. but use a rash guard most of the time. If your coming here to learn.. then you definitely will use a rash guard if they put you on a soft top....have fun!!

Bikini top with the shorts. The water is warm there so you can just go with your bikini itself.

Up to you.. Your top isn't going to come off, if that's what you are worried about. I mean it could, it's possible, but you would have to wipeout pretty hard and even then it will stay put.

The only reason to wear a one piece would be to prevent getting a rash on your stomach or where your ribs are. Most of the time I wear a rash guard for when I surf without a wetsuit because when I lay down, my ribs are on the board and I had a problem with them rubbing too much on the wax, which sucked.

Bring both. If you can do it with just a bikini top, then it works, and if not, wear the one piece. Or invest in a rash guard. All those options have worked for me though.
