  1. Wow, lots of options here. Here's a quick water-related craft that you might like.

Get some nice sturdy paper, like the kind you would get in a sketchbook or watercolor pad. These days Office Depot and Staples carry it in their art section. Then get some small tubes of oil paint in colors you like, and a wide shallow pan. I like to use 2 or 3 complementary colors like pink and green or yellow, orange and violet/blue.

Fill the pan with about 1/2" to 1" of water. Then using a small paintbrush or end of a pencil, add small quantities of oil paint to the water. I do mean small, you don't have to squeeze a glop from the tube. Then take a sheet of paper and either drag it across the surface of the water or immerse it in water for a few seconds and pull it out from the top. Then set the paper out to dry.

The idea is that oil floats on the top of the water. By dragging it across the surface or pulling it out of this oil/water bath, the paint will make beautiful marble patterns on the paper.

You can then use that decorated paper for whatever you want; sketching, origami, letter writing (not that many people still do that, but it's never bad to practice)
