Question:

Sunday Wedding?

How do I find a minister who can marry us on a Sunday morning? (It's short notice too.) It's also in a different state so I don't think we'd be able to do the counseling if that was a requirement for a minister to marry us.

Thanks.

  1. You'd have to talk to the individual officiants and work around their Sunday schedule.  Greeks usually get married on Sunday so that wouldn't be weird at all to them.

With the short notice, premarital counseling will be a problem with many denominations.  Plus many will not marry you if you aren't of their faith.

Are you against a civil ceremony?  Look up who can marry you in the state you are talking about.  Ship captains, ordained online ministers, etc.  Many of the ordained online people will do it.  You could post on Craig's List.  What kind of ceremony are you wanting?

  2. I'd suggest looking on theknot.com or your local wedding directory for your state for "officiants".  Even an online yellow pages may help.

You would probably be able to get a nondenominational minister to do the ceremony.  If you happen to be in Pennsylvannia, I have found one or two that are basically 'for hire' and will do any type of ceremony you want.
