im a suns fun and im happy. we only payed him 1.2 mill? THATS a goood deal. i cant wait to see what he does with steve nash! suns still need to pick up 2 more guys and im hoping we can get a good back up PG. ok a mid lvl signing which is like 6 mil. so lets do it!!!! suns bench is sick now.

This is a great addition for Suns for sure. Just imagine Barnes as a poor Matrix who can shoot from perimeter, rebound and does every little thing on the floor, and you will find it a big bargain for paying him 1.2 milllion a year.

Meanwhile, the Suns still have some room generated from mid-level exception and I wonder if they would try to sign Darius Miles (He is not-yet-done in my opinion).

Hes had one good season his entire career its kind of hard to fix the whole mom dying last season thing

i think it's a great move by everyone. phoenix got a great energy player for the minimum and will fit phoenix's style. so it was a great move by phoenix. it was a great move by barnes because he can only play in an uptempo style. when he was a FA after the warriors embarrassed dallas 2 years ago, NO team went after him, thus he signed for just 3 mill for 1 year with the warriors. teams know that barnes can only fit in a fast system. as for the warriors, signing maggette might have been the end for barnes. it was really unfortunate this past year because he struggled so much. i think most of it had to do with his mom passing away with whom he was very close with. that would have been hard on anyone. i think barnes will bounce back.

I think it's a great move by Phoenix. I'm actually surprised nobody else has made a move to get him. In 2006, he played very well for Golden State when they beat Dallas. I know he's no all-star, but he's a high energy guy who likes to run, and with Steve Nash's playmaking he'll flourish there in in Phoenix.

It would be a good contribution to D'Antoni's team. But I still don't know how they will play in offense this year. But Matt is a great guy.

EEEEEYES! Finally ---some positive news for the Suns. Matt Barnes will be a GREAT addition to the roster. Also, the Goran Dragic deal that we thought went bad, is looking positive again.

This is indeed GREAT news for Phoenix, and definitely music to my ears!

As a warrior fan, I wish Barnes the best when he plays for the Suns.

He is a high energy player who can play great off the bench for the suns. Nellie just locked him up in the dungeon this year or he might've had more to prove this season.

Hes a smart decision for the suns and hopefully he does really well!

Finally a sensible move. I think the Suns adding Barnes to there roster is going to be a plus. Barnes can play Phoenix's run and gun style and he is better than Grant Hill. I like Barnes and i agree that the warriors are falling apart. Why let the good players suffer? If you think about it, the Suns can go back to there run a gun style when Shaq comes off the floor. They can play Barnes as SF, Diaw as PF and Amare as C. I hope the Suns go far this season. I think the Suns would have went far if it wasn't for the mid-season trade.  I think this was a pretty good move.

He played run & gun with the Warriors, so I'm guessing he'll fit in with the suns if they stay in the running game with there new coach.
