  1. uuum because the world turns and the sun hits it at different times as it turn. why don't you already know that? oh well. you may be younger than me

  2. BAN ME SHUT THE FREAK UP BECAUSE IF SOME TALK ABOUT YOU, YOU WOULD BE FIGHTING MAD

  3. Different longitudes.

AZ is much closer to the equator, where day-length changes very little.

I grew up in Texas then, as an adult, moved to Minnesota. The difference in length of day between those two is still impressive to me.

  4. This "Big Blue ball" we call EARTH actually is a round "blob" in space. It does rotate at "a known speed" but it's angle of rotation to the sun does change with each season.

With each season's "change" (from a galactic perspective) the speed of our planet's rotation does change (although very slightly) ; not to make "any drastic difference."

This changing speed is caused by the earth's axis-alignment to the sun and distance from the sun (each of our neighboring planets are effected differently because of this distance-factor. - Even MARS, the planet that most resembles Earth.)

  5. basically the earth tilts slightly one way half the year and slightly the other way the other half. So the one half of the world is getting more sun than the other. hence seasons. (not just the time the suns in the sky, but the angle at which it hits the earth- ie in winter its never true midday)

the closer you are to a pole the more it affects you, which is why the equator is always hot.

  6. It has to do with the rotation and axis of the earth. Because it is tilted some places get more light in some seasons then others. I think because the north pole is usually facing the sun they get about 20 hours of sunlight sometimes.

  7. The UK is at a higher latitude (not lngitude!) so in the summer it gets long days because the north pole is tilted towards the sun.

The downside is that we get longer nights in winter.

If we were above the arctic circle, than the sun would never set during midsummer.
